Lyric Contest Winner Announced!!

Congrats to Fernando  D. who is the new owner of our very last 2007 Lineup poster autographed by all of the bands! Winner was chosen at random - thank you to everyone that participated in our lyric contest! Don’t forget, we will have 2008 Lineup Posters for sale at the Festival next weekend. 7 days away - see you soon!

Here is the winning lyric entry:

Bright Eyes- “The world’s got me dizzy again- you think after 22 years I’d be used to the spin…And it all boils down to one quotable phrase, If you love something, Give it away.”

this quote sums up my life until now. I understand life is beautiful however the physical world around it isn’t so pleasant. I see many get used to a wake-work-sleep routine and live their lives ignoring the life they truly deserve.

Others give away luxuries, pass up job opportunities, or don’t buy that big house with the picket fence because they’d rather travel, see festivals, and celebrate their existence. Sacrifices we make while acknowledging what we love. Life.

Buy a tent and go Camping!

Can you think of the last time you packed up your gear and headed to the great outdoors? Camping is a great way to “get away from it all” (away from your email inbox, work stress and even the TV!) and the MMMF Campground is the place to be. Located directly to the east of the main stage, the camp ground provides a perfect break between band sets to chillax (ashley the intern taught me that… it means “chill” and “relax”… which is exactly what the Festival promotes!)

The campground is limited to 300 spaces, with a 4-person maximum per-site. Cost is $40 per site for the entire weekend (no single-day passes are available) and available through ticketmaster. We also have good news and bad news. First, the bad news. Word on the street is true - NO VEHICLES MAY DRIVE INTO THE CAMPGROUNDS FOR UNLOADING (per the folks at WestWorld - sorry guys) but we will have plenty of people / golf carts to drive your cargo from the entrance to your sites. Good news - we are putting a station to sell liquor within the campground… so you can be happy with that! And some more good news… the Festival is 45 days away!!!
