General Info: Charities
It’s a great feeling leaning up against the edge of the stage, staring right up at your favorite band and enjoying every minute of the performance, but its an even greater feeling knowing that the proceeds from that ticket will be helping out the kids in our community for the next year! It truly is a gift that keeps on giving, and Phoenix Day and Golden Gate Community Center value the true music fans that support the festival and its mission to inspire, connect and support the community as well as providing some entertainment too!

Golden Gate Phoenix Day

Phoenix Day (http://phoenixday.org)
Phoenix Day has lent a hand to over 3,500 families annually throughout South Central Phoenix for nearly 100 years. They assist with early education, childcare and health services.

Founded in 1915, Phoenix Day began offering childcare for World War I wives entering the workforce, however, today Phoenix Day is one of Arizona's most innovative and progressive child learning centers. Offering subsidized childcare and early education programs as well as free health screenings, Phoenix Day helps families meet the challenges of daily life.

Golden Gate Community Center (http://www.goldengatecenter.org)
Golden Gate Community Center provides programs and services to families in the west central Phoenix neighborhoods, and focuses on protecting children and preserving families. Thank you, Phoenix Day and Golden Gate, for helping us make 2008 a year to remember!

With more than 40 programs and services across the state, Arizona's Children Association serves more than 44,000 children and their families. Golden Gate Community Center, a subsidiary of Arizona's Children, will directly receive the funds earned through the festival. Assisting the south and west central Phoenix low-income neighborhoods for over 70 years, Golden Gate is a true community center, providing education programs including computer classes, fitness and recreation activities for children, youth, adults and seniors as well as health counseling and a variety of classes to promote a nutritious lifestyle for the entire family.
